Xiuyan jade. From the place it's named after
Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province, China. Natural Xiuyan jade, cut and hand-finished, never dyed. Every piece carries its own veining.
Five quiet minutes, once a day
1. Start with clean skin and a few drops of facial oil or serum — the tool needs slip to glide.
2. Take the gua sha stone. Hold it almost flat against the skin and sweep outwards — jawline to ear, cheekbone to temple, neck downwards. Light pressure. Three to five passes each.
3. Follow with the roller. Larger end for cheeks and forehead, smaller end under the eyes.
4. Finish at the neck to draw everything downwards.
Keep it in the fridge if you like the cold. Wash with warm soapy water and dry properly.
Why stone, not a brush
Electric brushes are the newer thing. Gua sha is the older one — and it has lasted for a reason. No motor, no bristles to flatten, no charging cable. Just cool stone, your own hands, and five minutes that belong to you.

Which set should I choose?
Which set should I choose?
The 2-piece is the classic pairing — a gua sha stone and a dual-ended roller, which covers everything most people want to do.
The 3-piece adds a smaller eye tool for the finer work around the eye area. Choose it if you want a tool sized for that area.

What's the free guide?
The Five Minute Ritual is a 10-page beginner's guide we wrote ourselves. It covers how to prepare, the correct angle and pressure, a five-minute morning sequence, an evening wind-down, the mistakes almost everyone makes starting out, and how to care for your stone.
It's emailed to you as a PDF once your order is placed — no extra cost, nothing to sign up for.

Close, but not identical — and that's the point. These are cut from natural stone, so colour, veining and depth of tone vary a little from piece to piece. Yours will be its own. It isn't a fault, and we don't sort them to match.

Wash with warm soapy water after use, then dry properly — don't leave it sitting wet. Avoid dropping it on tile, as stone will chip. Fridge storage is optional but the cold feels good on tired skin.

Once a day is plenty, and consistency matters more than pressure. Many people prefer mornings, as part of getting ready for the day. Always use oil or serum first — dragging a stone across dry skin is uncomfortable and not the idea.
Why does it feel cool and calming?
Why does it feel cool and calming?
Cold stone feels good against warm skin — the same reason a chilled spoon or an ice roller is soothing under tired eyes. It's a pleasant sensation in the moment, and it isn't meant to be more than that.
The slow, repetitive pressure is also just genuinely relaxing — that part isn't specific to jade, touch itself works that way. Read more in our Gua Sha Guide.
